Licensure by Endorsement
- Applicants applying for licensure by endorsement must be licensed as a registered nurse in another jurisdiction and have graduated from a nursing education program prior to passing the licensing examination recognized by the Board.
- Applicants for licensure by endorsement must submit a paper application.
- Applicants must submit the following information:
- Completed application
- Non-refundable application fee of $60.00
- Official college transcripts (Nursing education programs must meet the requirements of O.C.G.A. §43-26-2(1.2).
- Completed criminal background check
- Verification of original licensure obtained by examination in another state
- Verification of current licensure in another state (not applicable if currently licensed in state of original licensure)
- One of the following:
- Verification of employment documenting three (3) months/five hundred (500) hours of licensed practice
- Proof of graduation from an approved nursing education program within four (4) years immediately preceding the date of application
- Completion of a Georgia Board of Nursing approved reentry program
- Any other additional information requested by the Board
